Email: Yes, I use it sometimes.

2008.04.19

Okay, so I just wrote this and I am about to send it to my brother. Usually I wouldn’t bother sending email of any kind, but I needed to send an attachment for my brother to print and fax (or whatever) to some administrative office for my school funding.

see attached, uuerd?

it’s like i wrote a book! it took as long as an essay! and i still probably missed some stuff!

In other news, I’m done with this semester!!! WOOT~! +1

I should attach it a couple hundred more times to max out the total attachment size. :P

oh. and don’t tell me i actually have to print it out, sign it, and physically send it by mail….

rather than that, i’d just photoshop (read: MS PAINT) my signature on it.

So, yeah. I wrote the bloody thing seriously, but I hate having to deal with administration. But as you can tell from what I wrote, I’m done all my exams! That last one was a “doozy” (well, it wasn’t “extraordinary” or “bizarre”, but who cares). Did I mention I actually got a grade back for one of my courses? A B+ is A-OK by me.

Two more down, One to go.

So, I’m considering going all out and buying a new computer case, motherboard, and processor. I’m not exactly rich, but I’ll survive. But I also need to blow $500 or more on a bogu set for kendo soon! Yeah, money’s getting tight.

Aside from that depressing talk about money, I did well on the exams today. Or, at least I think I did. For my first exam, I think I was the first one done. The instructor caught me before I left (small class) and told me it looked good in the minute or so he had taken checking it. So, that’s a good sign. My other class was the big philosophy class. I think that one took me two hours.

So, yeah. I didn’t really study much last night as expected. Actually, my dad was in town, so I went to his hotel to watch some hockey. I don’t have cable or anything at home, so it’s occasionally nice to watch hockey on an actual television. In any case, a lot my light studying came before my second lecture. It paid off, as I wasn’t stressed from over-studying (that’s a joke to me), but I was tired (was still re-adjusting my internal clock from staying up too late).

But yeah, when (or perhaps if) I get my new hardware, I’ll post some real info on it. I might have to throw in some DDR2 ram as well. My current rig is old; 1.8GHz Athlon XP 3000+, 1 GB ram, a middle of the line video card that’s two generations old…. Yeah, it’s been good to me. The only problem is that I’m getting more and more into HD. It’s kind of surprising I’ve been able to watch HD at all with my computer, but I have!

Final Exams: Spring 2008

2008.04.16

Alright, two exams tomorrow. I didn’t study. Okay, well maybe an hour here, an hour there. But I’m really not the studying type. I learn stuff in class by writing it all down. I write those notes, but I don’t use them. Well, it works, and that’s all that matters.

What’s up tomorrow? Hmm… I have Comparative Programming Languages… and my philosophy course on Morals and Ethics.

On Friday I have my final final exam of the semester, Linear Algebra. Fun stuff. Speaking of Linear Algebra, I just got back from an optional extra lecture. That’s my studying for that course. Seriously.

My only problem with these exams is that they were bunched up. Actually, I wouldn’t even mind it if I have three exams in the course of three days, but having two on one day really sucks. I mean, I am so bad at studying, it’s guaranteed that the most I’ll do is a couple hours the night before. And that means I’m doing one hour of each subject tonight. But not right now, later….

Procrastination is one of my key attributes as a student. Each semester, I come in intending to change my bad habits, but I never do. Oh well. I’m not worried about failing. Now if I can manage to wake up on time tomorrow….
